Welcome back to Nursery!
The Nursery Team has changed since last year and now consists of Mrs Low (formerly Miss Sales) - Nursery Teacher/Green group Key worker, Mrs Stichbury - Blue group Key Worker, Mrs Gilbert/Mrs Nicholson - Red group key workers, Mrs Barker - Teaching Assistant. Please feel free to speak to any member of the team if you have any questions or concerns.
The children in the Nursery have made a great start to the year. They are beginning to make friends and are having fun exploring the Nursery environment to find out what they can do.
Keep visiting this blog to see pictures and videos of the children working. This week you will see the Nursery children singing the song Boom Chika Boom. Enjoy!

Obstacle Course
Each week the Nursery has focus activities that they do with the children. Last week the children completed an obstacle course in the hall. The following day the children were given the opportunity to master the course on their own. The video shows some of the morning children developing their balancing skills and using the physical equipment outside.

Gardening area - digging up the carrots!
Last year the Nursery children planted carrot seeds. The children were responsibile for looking after them and they have now grown in to carrots. Last week the children learned about harvest and the school visited the church to celebrate harvest festival. This week some of the foundation stage children decided that it was time to harvest the carrots and a group of them dug them up. This is what happened.
Anyone fancy a picnic?
The children in this short film have independently taken some resources from the home corner and made their own picnic/tea party in the blue room. They are using their own experiences and ideas to explore different family roles and extend their understanding of going on a picnic.
