This half term we are learning about colour and light. We have a colour table in the Nursery and at the moment we are looking at the colour blue. We do lots of different activities linked to the colour such as painting, colour mixing, printing & playdough. On Friday 2nd December the children came into Nursery wearing their blue clothes.
Our role play area is currently set up as a discovery zone with dens, torches and shiny materials to explore. We have also been very busy learning our songs for the Tip Toe Nativity - performances. We are then changing our role play area to a Christmas house so we can all have fun getting ready for Christmas together. We are already making our Christmas cards but we can't tell you what they look like because it will spoil the surprise!
We are all very excited in the nursery at the moment as we are having an Easter Parade on Thursday 7th April. We have made Easter Bonnets at home which we will be wearing in the parade - please come and cheers us on at 2.30pm! We have also made nest and cards in Nursery to celebrate Easter.
On April 29th the Queens Grandson William will be getting married to Kate. This will be a very special occasion so in Nursery we have been making some Union Jack Bunting and Flags which are hanging over our reading corner at the moment. We are all really looking forward to the wedding and at school on Thursday 28th April we are going to be having a street party - wow!!
Nursery children have now all settled into the Fairlop nursery and they are enjoying the activities. Every day they do different things.
Today it snowed and the Nusery children were able to play in it. The nursery nurses got some snow and brought it inside in an empty sand pit so and they had great fun together. Also Santa paid them a visit too which was a lovely surprise!
